Welcome to Sidmouth Gig Club

Sidmouth Gig Club was formed in 2009 and is based at the Port Royal Club, Sidmouth. Our aim is to bring this fast growing sport to our beautiful town of Sidmouth.

We now have 2 gigs and are planning to take part in our first regatta in Bridport in June!  We would like to thank our local business sponsors as well as personal founder members who have enabled the club to get where it is today. TRAINING, RACING & SOCIAL EVENTS

We train 3 times a week. On Friday evening at 6pm we hold a training session where non-members and first time rowers are also invited to come along and try out gig rowing.  Friday is also our club night in the Port Royal Club which starts at 7.30pm - a great opportunity to meet other members and tuck into some great food! On Sunday mornings at 9am and Wednesdays at 6pm we hold training for rowing members only.  All rowing is subject to sea conditions, call our hotline to check rowing conditions 07979 970 711.
